Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in his distinctive style. Avery Sunshine's work has led her across Broadway to European events and clubs, to even her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has been born Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing the piano and singing at church. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta in Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released exclusively in Japan; it was later remixed by numerous producers and is the mainstay of her live set. Additionally, she was a part of The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She was the main piano player for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to sing as part of the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
