Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to prominence after the release of the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing More Than A Number in the year 1994. The album came out as Gold in the year she turned 15 years old. R. Kelly was a key influence on the collaboration which put the singer into the limelight. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland on her sophomore studio album One In A Million, featuring the number one hit single If Your Girl Knew. But, she has both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for her professional name. Though she started her career with minor TV and film parts, her acting career started to gain growth in the latter half of 2000s. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The actress has been featured in advertisements for major brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. She lives at Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting career.
