Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American entrepreneur for over twenty years. she is currently president as well as the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is an California native, and was raised by a well-off family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon, and later the proprietor of Lakers as well as other companies. Her parents divorced in 1972. broke up together and she felt left out. At the age of 19 she was able to take over management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as General Manager. Then, she established the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. Prior to becoming vice-president of the Lakers in 2013, she was president of the Great Western Forum.
