Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia is a native of Canada. She is most well-known to Canadians because of her character as a Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. In addition, she was a part of in Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea and a'que te love. Also a dancer, she is a model. She was born in Montreal and has resided in Texas from the time she was a child and has always had a blast dancing. Since she was a child, she had been trained to dance in various forms. As a 15-year-old, she entered beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained fame after in 2008, she appeared as a contestant in Nuestra Belleza Latina season two of Univision's beauty competition. In 2010 she began her acting career as a receptionist in the Telemundo television show Aurora. In 2015, she appeared in her first feature film, the action-drama Tattooed Love. The performance of Toubia as Shadowhunter earned her recognition at The Teen Choice Awards in both the years 2017 and 2018, for her performance as Best TV Actress Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
